Bangkok – Sukhothai & Sri Satchanalai – Chiang Mai-Chiang Rai - Mae Hong Son

 

Day 1 : Bangkok – Ayuthaya -Uthai Thani (B/L)
After breakfast at the hotel, road to Ayutthaya for a visit of the ancient ruins:
Bang-Pa-In ( Summer Palace) and the ruins of this once glorious capital.
Passing paddy fields and villages to Uthai Thani
Visit on the way Reclining Buddha Image at Wat Khun Indra Pramol.
Overnight at The Country Lake Nature Lodge (Superior Room).

Day 2: Uthai Thani- Kamphaeng Phet - Sukhothai (B/L)
After breakfast, transfer to Kamphaeng Phet where known as “Diamond Wall” and look around the ruins of this ancient city founded in a shaded teak wood forest. Drive to Sukhothai for having lunch. After lunch, visit to the World Cultural Heritage Sites of Sukhothai Historical Park and its compound.

Day 3 : Sukhothai – Sri Satchanalai – Lampang  (B/L)
After breakfast, depart Sukhothai for Sri Satchanalai, a viceroy city of Sukhothai in the past to visit another World Cultural Heritage Sites; Sri Satchanalai Historical Park. Depart Sri Satchanalai  for Lampang. Upon arrival in Lampang, lunch will be served at a local restaurant there. After lunch, enjoy a leisurely Horse Carriage ride and visit Wat Phra That Lampang Luang.

Day 4: Lampang- Chiang Rai(B/L)  
After breakfast at the hotel, a short visit will be made to Baan Sao Nak, a Lanna-style wooden house with a lot of wooden pillars and Wat Chedi Sao with twenty cute pagodas. Depart Lampang for Phayao to visit Kwan Phayao, the largest Fresh Water Swamp in Thailand. Also visit Wat Sri Khom Kham, one of the finest Buddhist temples by the Phayao Lake with a large, massive Buddha image. Depart Phayao for Chiang Rai with an opportunity to visit a colorful pineapple plantation en-route. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Chiang Rai. After lunch, enjoy a boat cruise on the Mae Kok River to visit the White Karen Hill tribe before checking in at the hotel in Chiang Rai

Day 5 Chiang Rai –Golden Triangle –Doi Mae Salong (B/L)
After breakfast at the hotel,Proceed to Chiang Saen to visit the 1st Ancient Empire of the “Tai Tribe” Kingdom by the Mae Khong River, as well as the Chiang Saen Museum and Wat Pa Sak.
Continue to  Mae Sai, the northernmost town in Thailand, bordering Myanmar. Enjoy strolling, shopping and bargaining at the local market of the town.
Drive up to Doi Mae Salong for overnight

Day 6: Doi Mae Salong-Lisu Lodge (B/L/D)
After breakfast at the hotel, depart for the Lisu Lodge  up to Mae Salong,  with the visit of the Yao, Akka and the  former "  Kuomintang "  Chinese refugees village .
Lunch at local restaurant .
In the afternoon, visit the Chiang Dao caves and then continue on road to the Lisu Lodge . Dinner and overnight at the Lisu Lodge

Day 7: Lisu Lodge-Pai (B/L)
A choice of one-hour activities:
    - Guided biking tour around the Lisu Lodge area
     - Steam bath
     - Massage
     - Ox-cart ride through farmlands and orchards to the Thai village of Baan Pang Mai Daeng - about an hour ending up back at Lisu Lodge
Drive to visit Moh Fah waterfall , visit hot spring of Pong Deud and the one of Karen Village before arriving in Pai
Overnight in Pai

Day 8 : Pai-Mae Hong Son (B/L)
Drive to Mae Hong Song,visit  the Thom Lod caves , a gigantic cave with an inner river. Continue on road to Mae Hong Son, for the
visit of the  Shan temple of Doi Kong Mu, with superb views over the mountains

Day 9: Mae Hong Son-Chiang Mai (B/L) 
After breakfast at hotel , enjoy elephant riding across rivers and hills, and board on a long-tail boat along the Pai river for the astonished encounter with the “ Giraffe women “ ( long neck ) .
After lunch at local restaurant, transfer to Mae Hong Sorn airport for
flight back to Chiang Mai , in the afternoon

Day 10: Chiang Mai (B/L)
Doi Suthep Temple
Visit Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep is a temple on the top of Suthep Mountain, 1,073 meters above sea level, and 15 km from town. This temple was built by King Gue Na in 1383 A.D. Phrathat Doi Suthep is a large golden pagoda which in the center contains a part of the holy relics of the Lord Buddha. It is a holy place visited throughout the year by Buddhist pilgrims from all over the world.

Handicraft village and factories
Visit the famous handicraft village and factories at Borsang and Sankampaeng Districts. During the tour you will see the local silk and cotton weaving industry, can observe how deft fingers transform bamboo, paper, silk and paint into beautiful umbrellas and learn more about the skills in woodcarving and how to make lacquer boxes and silverware.
Kantoke dinner and folk dances
The Khantoke dinner is a traditional dinner from the northern part of Thailand consisting of various dishes served in small bowls (khan). Seated on cushions around low tables (toke), enjoy superb cuisine while admiring a folk dance show featuring the graceful fingernail dance, candle dance, sword dance and also the hill tribe dance.

Day 11: Chiang Mai- Another destination (B)
Transfer to Chiang Mai airport for another destination
